Myrtle Beach's Best Raccoon Control:
Some wildlife don't necessarily cause harm to people when they break into homes. Rather, they pose a threat to other pets at home and to the property itself. An infestation can cause physical damages to the property as well as the risk of carrying diseases that pets may contract. Dealing with the situation sooner avoids the issue. However, it's a serious case if the critters seem to be coming back to your property. Our company makes sure wildlife stay out of the property for good with our raccoon removal services. When excluding critters from the property, we take pride in keeping our methods humane throughout the process. Our goal is to safely remove the wildlife from the home without causing any harm or threat to them. This is something our company has been doing for the past years, and have always brought us satisfactory results. Our team has a variety of techniques up their sleeves which they use along with different devices to increase the efficiency of their performance. We want to be sure that the situation doesn't occur again sometime soon. To make this possible, we inspect the property without missing a single inch and later make professional-grade repairs to the damages caused by the raccoons to ensure critters won't be able to easily break into the property. What Prices Do We Charge?
Learn About Costs and Our Wildlife Control Prices
We are South Carolina's top experts in wildlife and raccoon control. We are not a typical Myrtle Beach raccoon control or pest control company. We don't treat wild animals like insects, because they are not! You can't just use poison to get rid of them. You also can't just set a few traps on the ground and call it good. Each situation is unique. And remember, if you have raccoons living in your house, it is almost certainly a female with a litter of young inside. These juveniles must be removed by hand, or they will starve to death and die. And after they are gone, the entry holes into the house must be sealed with professional repairs. Unlike most Myrtle Beach pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions, by following these steps:
- Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
- Seal shut all entry areas with professional grade steel
- If in attic, we remove the baby raccoons by hand
- Technical and human raccoon trapping appropriate to situation
- When necessary, we clean raccoon droppings and replace insulation
Myrtle Beach Raccoon Control Tip: How to Get a Racoon Out of a Dumpster
If you own a business, a restaurant in particular, you may come across an incident where you go out to throw out your trash in the dumpster only to find that a raccoon is stuck in there. These unwelcome guests frequently get stuck in dumpsters when they smell food in the dumpster, climb down into it to try to hunt for their next meal, only to find that they can't get out.
The raccoon is now stuck. This leaves you with the question of how do you get a raccoon out of the dumpster?
You Can Do Nothing
Some may wonder if you need to do anything at all. You could just leave the raccoon there. Either there will eventually be a time where enough garbage will build up that it will get out or it will die in the dumpster. Either way, you think the problem is resolved.
This would be okay except for one point. Raccoons are the carriers of a number of diseases, and the last thing you need is a dying, decaying raccoon in your dumpster. Parasites and bacteria can still become airborne, putting you at risk every time you throw out your trash. So, this is not a good idea at all.
You also have to worry about that the raccoon may get out of the dumpster just as you are throwing out the trash one night. You could get bitten or scratched, which could lead to a serious illness. Not a good idea either.Call Animal Control
One thing you could do is to contact your local county or city animal control to see if they may assist you. While not all government agencies assist with these kinds of problems, there are some who would send a person out to capture and remove the raccoon. At the very least, it's worth you spending a few minutes to see if it will work.
Create an Exit
If you are stuck with no other option, then the sensible thing to do would be to provide an exit for the raccoon. You can make it so that the animal is able to climb out by piling some garbage in one end of the dumpster. Eventually, the raccoon will figure it out and get out.
However, before doing so make sure you protect yourself. Always wear gloves, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a surgical mask to protect your respiratory system before you approach the dumpster. Once again, the pathogens of a raccoon can become airborne from their feces or urine, which can get on your skin or into your respiratory system. These are dangerous, so you need to take the proper precautions.
If at all possible, throw the garbage bags to the one side of the dumpster so that you don't even come in close proximity to the raccoon. If you are a good enough shot, you should be able to create a modified garbage bag ladder that will allow the raccoon to get out.
A few simple things can help you to resolve your raccoon problem. Soon it will be out of the dumpster and you will no longer have a problem.
